John Moore: award-winning jewellery artist of the new generation
John Moore is an award winning contemporary jewellery artist, who exhibits internationally. He creates his unique pieces of wearable sculpture from anodised aluminium, silver, silicone and steel. John fearlessly produces new forms of jewellery that are exciting, intriguing objects, often inspired by nature. Necklaces, pendants, bracelets and earrings are all part of his current collection. Important elements of these visually striking pieces are colour, form Ė and movement, when worn.
Johnís awards include the Kayman Award from the British Jewellers Association; a silver award at the Craftsmanship and Design Awards from Goldsmiths Hall; and the Eunique World Crafts Council Award for which the selection criteria included excellent craftsmanship, choice of materials, originality and innovation. He has exhibited at Eunique, Karlsruhe, Germany, a leading trade fair for applied arts in Europe; and at LOOT: Mad about Jewelry in the Museum of Arts and Design, New York, for two consecutive years - a rare honour to be asked to exhibit more than once at this show, a curated exhibition and sale of artist made jewellery, where aficionados look for new designers to add to their collections. Examples of Johnís work will also be on show at DAZZLE, London, at Gallery@oxo, 8 November 2015 Ė 10 January 2016.
