Hove Museum & Art Gallery houses: ‘Contemporary Craft’, the most important contemporary craft collection in the South East outside London; the ‘National Toy Museum and Institute of Play Collection’, one of the largest and most significant toy collections in Britain; ‘Film’, with some of the earliest films ever made, produced by the Hove Pioneers; ‘Local History’, which includes the magnificent Hove Amber Cup dated 1500 BC; changing displays of ‘Paintings’, both oils and rarely seen watercolours; and three galleries for temporary exhibitions.
